    1) how long does it take for your quality score to improve or change after you make changes to your site?

    2) will removing the total number of keywords or ads from your campaign increase quality score?

    Up to a month.

No. Quality scores are not based on the total number of things (keywords/ads/etc).

I heard it's based on clicks and impression ratio. If I remove the keywords that no one clicked on my CTR & will increase. wouldn't this help score?

The quality score is based on three factors

    1 CTR ( Click through rate )

2 Relevancy of your ad text

3 Historical perfomance of your keyword

its not that if you remove the keywords and campaign it ill fetch you quality score more over google determines the minimum bid value based on the quality score of that particular keyword.

You can delete the general keywords and ads which is not bringing expected impressions or traffic also google has the facility like it ill show you the ad oftenwhich is performing well.
