Hello all I Build my first website around a week ago... http://guitarheat.com/lessons I have not made the main homepage yet... The question that i have are.. 1)I got around 18 clicks on my ads Yesterday and all i made was $2 one day i had just one click and i had made $0.50 can any one explain what happened over here?? 2)Then if i include adsense code within my post, then will it be related to that post only? i mean will adsense put ads related to the heading of my post?? Also is this a good way of putting ads?? 3)I saw at one post , people said that wait for a few months before you put your adsense code.. Should that be followed..as in after getting the site some ranking and all? 4)How many ads can i put on my blog? As after putting more than 4.. the others started to disappear and the new ones came...so the total remained 4...
18 clicks for $2 ($0.11/click) is not bad... adsense isn't going to make you rich and shouldn't be your only form of advertising if you want to generate revenue.
1)Some ads give you more e.g. 1 gives $0.02 and a different one gives $0.10. 2)Header is probably a good place. 3)You probably won't make much when your sites new but its up to you... probably better to leave it for a while. 4)Your only allowed 3 per page.
only adsense decides that which advt will come, but most of the time they are all relevant ads.. well you can put the adsense code with in your post but i prefer that you out the right side block on left side of the post.( i am saying right side of the post, not page). also one more suggestion, don't put that image advt.... use only 2 blocks..... more the blocks you will use lesser will be the cpc. According to adsense policy you can put atmost 3 ad units on one page..... i prefer to put only two in very optimum way. Best of luck.
1. you get paid basd on what advertisers spend on adwords click. sometimes you get high paying ads served but you should always take the average. from what i see, you are doing good. 2. you can put ads on the post as well as on the mail page. 3. you can put the code up right away but relavant ads will not apear until your site gets indexed by google. 4. you can put 3 content ads, 3 link units, and one search box. putting anything more will not display the ad
What are other forms?? as in u cant put any other ads .. on the page having adsense ads.... so i get confused..
Your site is only one week old! Build content and loyal visitors. Monetizing is the last thing to worry about. Trust me.
