Well, let's see. Some of us encountered the Google Slap on Wednesday. How can we get our campaigns back to normal? nadavs
As of now i would suggest to increase your Max cpc to $12 for some of your relevant keywords Also, what i would recommend is... don't do anything for a few days.. see if it goes away.. this happened over 2 years ago...and it slowly went away... not for everything but many of the $10 min bids did go away.. the resulting effect though from that time is that a lot of the advertisers did not return their bids back... to where it used to be... in my view it was a smart move for google.. not good for the rest of us though....
If I pay $10 per click I can get less visitors to my site than through simple article marketing. nadavs
Yes they would charge you $10 per click, but below that your ads wont run or will be inactive for search
Is that the best solution you can offer? I can't help but wondering, why do you want to sell a $5 ebook? If you are an adwords expert you should be making millions managing accounts.
Umm.... That's one way of looking at it. Or, alternatively, you can try to work out why your minimum bids are so high, and do something about it... It's true that Google have launched another attack on the affiliate websites, but unless I'm very much mistaken, there are still people who have successful campaigns running. As a rule, the $5 and $10 minimum bids are caused by Google not liking your website - if you have a lower minimum bid than $0.50, then the problem is as likely to be your clickthrough rate, advert text or something else... But to suggest that people should just increase their bids to crazy levels and hope the problem goes away seems to be a little unwise. If you pay more per click than it's worth, you lose money. This isn't a sound long-term business strategy. And since the people who got 'slapped' are in the main part affiliate-linking sites, it seems doubtful that a click is worth $10 to them. So, the first question you should ask should be "Am I sticking rigidly to all of Google's rules and suggestions on landing page design?" I'd suggest starting here: http://adwords.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=46675&topic=9356 and here: http://adwords.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=66238&topic=9356 and perhaps most importantly here: http://adwords.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=14844 To suggest that the solution to a poor QS is to increase the bids is questionable...
Hey i am here not only to make money mate...i am also to help people here, that ebook is worth millions but just $5 would help make millions other make millions.. Moreover i think, Knowledge should not be used only to print notes of $$, but also to share!!! The other solution is if you cant afford $10 per click, pause your ad group for some time and sit and wait till all gets well
LOL! Thanks CustardMite, your posts have been very helpful as always. It's obvious that the guy is trying to scam money off newbies by selling some free vouchers links. Props to the Mods for banning him.
