Solution To The Israeli/Palestinian Conflict

This thread is for proposals to solve the Israeli/Palenstinian impasse once and for all.

A two-state solution has been proposed for years, and is still favored by many. A one-state solution is also seriously considered by others.

What do you think is the solution this problem?

    1. UN forces go inside Gaza
    2. Hamas is disbanded and all of it's weapons are confiscated
    3. Israel removes the siege and helps the UN deliver humanitarian aid
    4. Israel and the UN help establish a proper Palestinian government, one who doesn't oppose Israel
    5. Israel and the UN help the new Palestinian government secure Gaza strip, and also help them train proper security forces in order to prevent new terrorist organizations appearing.
    6. Peace is established.

Are you going to act like a child and start conflicts here too? This is a thread for finding a solution, and that's exactly the difference between the Israeli side and your side. I just suggested a solution, and you started a conflict.

    Agreed.

    One state solution? No way.
Two state is the right option, the sooner the better.

I can tell you that Israel would sign this agreement now.
But let's get back to the reality, unfortunately this conflict will never end ...

abu mazen is not magician, even if both sides will announce cease fire, the conflict will delayed to other time. those extrimists (mostly in iran and syria) has an interest that the palastinians will be thier war puppets.
those extrimists wants war, they armed the palastinians with weapons and encourage them to fight Israel.
The palastinians always has a shity life with poor standard of living, it's their (extrimist) interest that the palastinians will be always in this situation because with this situation they don't care about their life and it's portrayed well in the press.

Very true. First thing Israel needs to do is form a positive image about itself in the Palestinian's eyes. That's extremely hard to do, but is possible with a lot of hard work, including humanitarian aid and so on. However, the first thing that needs to be done is the destruction of Hamas and having the world noticing Iran as a major threat.

It sounds ok but the problem I see in it is that Israel would never accept UN and UN forces because it would mean that Israel would need to comply with numerous UN resolutions.

in other word, Israel controls Palesteen (Juresalem) as it controls USA.

very nice idea for you, but Hamas are aware of that.

Stick to the topic. Yeah, puny-ass Israel controls the USA. :) That's got to be one of the funniest comments of all.

In any event, for the few people who answered the thread.

A two-state solution with Palestine being in the Gaza Strip and West Bank sounds like the answer. I take it nobody wants Jerusalem cut in half?

I don't, it sounds too dangerous. We're talking about people who killed each other for 60 years...

I know what you mean. It looks like the current "Roadmap" needs to be redrawn quite a bit.

There's still one thing that I don't get, if West bank & Gaza become Palestine - it'll be a country separated by Israel... how will they move to Gaza strip from the West bank and back all the time? We're still talking about tension here...
