Thanks. I am really busting my tail right now, but sponsors move much slower than writers do. I'm putting up an FAQ video section. Right now it is just me and two other people trying to build up our sponsors and I really don't need the negativity while I'm working to make other people money.

How do you intend to be able to sell enough to advertisers to be able to pay someone up to $135???

Your business model does not make sense at all. All you have is a new site, with no traffic and no authority to pass back out via links. You must be on drugs if you think advertisers are going to pay you $270 for a glorified text link on a borderline spam article when they could get the exact same thing in the link sales section for $15.

The only winner in this charade is going to be you, at least you are getting a lot of free content for Adsense clicks, the writers are going to be pissing in the wind with zero to show for it.

Well if that's what you think, definitely stay away from the site. Your flawed in thinking you even know or understand the business model. Adsense is almost as big a joke as anything. $46.00 and change is all we have made on that which doesn't even cover the hosting. So far we have gotten about two dozen sponsors on there and right around 400 writers with the site only being up for about a month now and it sits in the top 100k. So somehow, I don't think the business model is flawed.

PS, no traffic? How is 11k visitors average and an alexa top 100k weekly amount to no traffic? Sad too, you have the SN of one of my favorite characters and loved that show to the very last episode. Think you might want to do some better detective work.

Hi! When you say you want "Original content" Does that mean I am giving away copywrite? Because I write 3,000 word articles, I don't wish to sell one for just 5$ like associated content gives me, I normally sell to webmasters who need articles for their niche for big $, so would I have any rights to post my article anywhere else?

What we are working with right now is the same rules that most other sites go by in that if your article is sponsored, the sponsor is essentially buying the article, but isd stays on the www.sayitaloud.com website. If your article isn't sponsored in any kind of timeline and you want to pull it down and post it somewhere else, you are well within your rights to do so.

I submitted a bunch of articles that I wrote for fun and some that associated content said had formatting issues, they want me to put a line instead of paragraphs, come on! How long does it take to receive payment?

It's not really hard to understand this site. I think most of you are just used to working for peanuts and don't realize how much money is being made from articles. You foolish $1 per 1000 word-ers and re-writers plus the people who hire you have brought the entire article writing market here down. It's a joke and depressing to take part in the intellectual degradation of the entire world by offering the same article re-worded over and over again. LOL

I charge .02 word which is also very low but it's hard to even get that because prices are so low. I have made $300 from one product review article so I know money can be made. The problem is most people who want the articles and the writer's alike don't understand how the article marketing works. Most won't make money so they won't pay decent amounts to have an article written in the first place. Others are here to take advantage of your ignorance and they are laughing all the way to the bank. I don't see an issue with the sayitloud.com system at all but it isn't for me. I refuse to write anything for free, even with the prospect of possibly making money from it. What they are paying should be the norm everywhere.

lassie911 - the numbers don't make sense at all.

There is no possible way to get sponsors to keep paying the level of money this shill is saying - if the money doesn't come in from the sponsors then its not hard to see that the article writers aren't going to get paid either. Frankly, anyone who submits articles to this expecting $100+ each for them, either is an idiot or only got on the internet yesterday. Oh well I've said my piece, I really can't be bothered any more.

Anyone reading feel free to continue to get scammed for some fantasy future payment if you like.

Really sad if someone doesn't look at the TOS or the FAQ, or even the forum for that matter, several people have already been sponsored, and several people have already been paid. From a sponsors POV, do I pay on a PPC basis that will end up costing me more in the long run? Or do I pay less, get better positioning, and support a solid writer? But I guess the business owners that my staff has been talking to must be out of their minds as well. Love how the facts themselves got ignored in place of personal bashing.

The bottom line is, if this is not for you, it's not for you. No worries, personally, I'm grateful for the people that we have and am looking forward to linking this post in a couple of years. Bottom line is, those who are in now, are grandfathered at 50% and those who come on later won't see anything near that number. So in the long run, it's not me or the people on now who are going to be punching ourselves in the head.

Ben, yes, everything is done by emails, if you look in the forum on the www.sayitaloud.com website you will see several people who talked about exactly how they got paid and the process works.

I write I don't read! :) I will read the TOS, but not the faqs :) Compromise, I think I get this syste, I used to submit poems/ essays/ articls/ stories to copanies and then if it was good I would get published and if it was really good get a % of the cash it made if it made any, that is how things work in real life, but I like being paid upfront :) Good luck with your site and since I am compromising I will write 1,000 words a day, y next one will be on sayitaloud ~ Scam or not? Can you really make Money?

Well no worries to me, I have no doubt that some people won't make money on the site, and others will. Others already are. I guess I would worry about what people like Vic say more if I hadn't found him just looking to buy a bunch of articles for his own blog at some stupid low price. I really do hope that I can get people value for what they are doing rather than just hunting down the lowest bidder.

LOL, well if you don't read it don't be mad if it bites you, lol. The bottom line for me personally was I was tired of these people that were paying me nothing (or as close to it as they could get) for my works and was happy to be able to be a part of something that would finally give writers the chance to make something decent for their work.

Probably a big threat to someone who wants to pay a dollar for an article for their automotive blog when someone is out there trying to level the playing field.

I agree to a certain extent. That's why I said I won't write for free even though there is a chance I may be paid. However I don't see this as a scam. Everyone can read this thread and information posted on the site and it tells you how the system works. I am not totally against this because people could make what they should get per article. I honestly think this has the potential to be something big and it may lead to writers being compensated appropriately in the long run. This business model the have adapted will be duplicated and refined and pretty soon it may be the norm. Somewhere along the line writers and advertisers alike may realize how effective article marketing really is and the demand/pay may increase. Hopefully the rewriting craze which isn't effective in the least bit will completely die out. Simply because people will want quality unique content in order to compete. The helium.com model sucks just like most similar sites but the idea of actively going after sponsors seems to be unique here. At the end of the day this is just a rant. As I said, it's not for me I just wanted to give my .02 cents. No pun intended! ;)

Appreciate it Lassie, and I understand where you are coming from. But you hit the nail on the head. I'm a marketer by trade and a writer by passion. I just have to believe that advertisers being able to come on board and promote themselves by finding articles of interest to their demographic through flat rates is going to be the move of the future. The market can't handle much more of these bidding wars that are going on, and having a site where people can go, interact, and putting more of that money back into the contributors has to be a better option for both parties.

I see people haggling over an article for .02 and .01 cents an article and it really does turn my stomach. Yes I could do it if all I used all day was spinning software, but where is the integrity in that. People get what they pay for and I really believe it is time people were paid for what they were giving.

In the long run, who knows, maybe I am off my rocker and advertisers would rather spend more in ppc with the majority of the money going to the big G. Maybe writers will get better returns writing 27 articles at a buck a piece rather than knowing that an article on our site with a single sponsor pays even more than that. But with sponsors picking up speed, 366 writers registered in the last three weeks, and jumping up in alexa from the nineteen million mark to having a weekly in the top 100k, I just don't see this going down anywhere.

Its funny how you keep using this silly Alexa stat as some sort of proof of success - it proves you have absolutely no idea what you are doing.

I don't see the relevance of me buying cheap posts elsewhere - sure its cheap but at least the guy is earning an honest buck and getting the cash up front. I guarantee he's earning more from selling them to me like that than if he posted them all on your site with some vague promise of large payments later. Anyway I'm off to bed, feel free to continue your scamming :)

The title of the thread may be slightly misleading, but Sac's first post made it clear what his offer was. A scam is when someone offers something concrete and then doesn't deliver when he has received what he wanted. There was nothing concrete ever offered here. Sacramento isn't taking anyone's money to join and he isn't guaranteeing 135$, or any amount, per article submitted. All of the terms are right there in writing. And while I doubt anyone will ever make 100k a year from this site alone, I do know it isn't a scam.

And I think, in any case, you've made your case, however thin it may be, and are just being pointless now. Writers can make their own decisions. If they'd rather risk writing for nothing than accept garbage rates, that is their choice.
