Sold Website. New Owner Still Using My Name Please Help

I sold a website and the new owner is still using my name.
All I want is the site to reflect the new owner, all content is his.
Have tried emailing him but no reply...
I'm receiving so many complaints from long time members who still think they are dealing with me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated
I think this falls under copyright so hope right category ?

    Thanks
    Samantha

If I were you, if the new owner is refusing to change the name I would make a statement and link anyone who emails you to that... at least it will become public information that you are no longer associated with that website.

    Thanks :)
I have updated the forum associated with the website letting everyone know the new owner details.
Just frustrating when you enter the site with "Welcome My Name Is Samantha"
    and a small bio.

The site was completely transferred to him on the 19th of Feb so plenty of time to fix this up.

Where did you get the domain transfered from ?
You can email them and they'll do something

Silly question. Is this person using your legal name or the name you created for the site? Name you create have no value.
To give you an idea of what I mean. Lets say your a wrestler and you call yourself Mr. X and you hurt somebody. If you get sued they have to use your legal name not Mr. X. Mr. X isn't a real person. He's a character.

You can contact the hosting company and ask them to help you if he is using your entire name - but if she is using your first name, what happens if her first name is Samantha?

I did this twice when I found out someone was using my name. True, it might just be a name and no one owns it but there were people that helped me.

    Thanks for the advice everyone.
I contacted the hosting company and they are most helpful.

The new owner is a HE, so not another Samantha ;)

    Cheers
    Samantha
