    hello All,

yesterday i sold my very first website on ebay. I'M GONNA BE RICH ;) Just kidding. anyway, i'm having a problem. the buyer sent me his godaddy customer account number, (the domain is registered with godaddy) and instructions to send the zip files of the wordpress blog to his email address.

I have no clue what to do here. First, what should I do with his godaddy customer account number. second, how do i convert the wordpress files into zip files.

any help provided would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds to me like all this customer needs is the wordpress theme. Download the theme directory from your server, right click and compress, email it over and voila! You are done!

    1. You need to transfer domain to his godaddy account no
    2. you need to send him db backup in zip.
    3. You need to send him your wordpress files in your root directory in the form of zip.

is there a step by step instruction on how to download your wordpress files from the host into a zip file? I will need to know this because I have multiple sites I want to sell and I still want to have a good reputation at the community where I sold the site.

You need to take a copy of the mysql database, and also the files/folder in the root http directory.

Compress and send, and the end user is going to need to alter the config files accordingly.

Awesome selling the site! I've been looking to get into domain and website selling, and success stories always are inspiring. At the same time your question made me realize I have a lot to learn about Wordpress and other basics of selling a site.

download all the files for the site via ftp to your desktop, add them to a zipfile(winzip/winrar if you dont have it) then attach to email. as for the database, phpmyadmin should export it.
