I got nothing against God, and his son jesus christ, but everytime you hear any astronomy event coming up... "Jesus Christ is coming soon...." Did you know the apostles/disciples thought christ would return in their lifetime, and the term jesus is coming soon has been repeated for the last 2000+ years now, maybe soon is in gods terms, so 2000 years would just be couple days to god... I seen one guy on the news that said, it makes since that we are in the last days because of all the conflict the world is seeing... he really thinks the world is having such conflict that we are at the brink of our existence? Did you know as a result of Hitlers power, over 100m or 200m people died? So one could imply that the world was at the brick, and jesus would return shortly... Even though we have these petty conflicts of death here an there, and sometimes it does seem like total destruction; I think total destruction is going to be planet wide before the return of jesus... We are certainly heading in that direction, not quite there yet... If I am not mistaken, I think the bible implies that certain events would happen before the return of jesus, has any of these events taken place yet? I am sure someone knows more then I do about the bible, and could answer those questions, but to think that the world is at the point of no-return; I do not think we are there yet. Jesus does say he will come back like a theif in the dark/night. Does he imply that he will return in the dark? during a solar eclipse? I also heard that the next solar eclipse would not happen for another 7 years, so does that imply 7 years of peace? I dunno..... What are your speculations? ps. if you see jesus riding that chariot of fire... post a photo...
I've heard that Trump is a miracle from God so anything is possible. We're not getting the eclipse down here so not expecting Jesus to show up for us. More than happy to have a chat if he does, in fact it'd be hilarious seeing the tumult of people wanting to believe, being sceptical etc. On the off chance that there's anything out there, please, please let it happen in my lifetime - I'd hate to miss the show!
you have to remember, jesus is not the only one that performs miracles... satan also grants miracles, however, certainly not the blessings you want to have... a man that has that much hate has certainly been blessed by satan I think I am on the outer rim of this solar event, so it would not even peek my interest to go out and look at the sun and go blind, I could care less about this event, and probably would be the last to know if jesus was floating the path of the solar eclipse, oh well.... throw me some manta from heaven so I can make a sandwich.... Would you say trump is a deceiver? Would you say trump is leading america astray?
That would depend on your point of view. Others may view the downfall of the US as a good thing and a gift from a generous God. But then I'm the one who always has a giggle when people pray for their team etc to win when you know that both sides are praying and therefore "God" has to decide to grant a prayer and decline another. So, is Trump the answer to a prayer? or a Blue Peter fan
I'll try to take pictures tomorrow and post them here. In FL we're not going to have a full eclipse tho.
@qwikad.com your pictures are showing as much as the NASA live streaming sites, as far as I can tell. I have been trying to watch (in between phone calls and emails in the office, etc.) and have not yet seen a full eclipse on camera with the corona showing. I also have to say that up here in New England, it seems to be a non-event as it is a bit cloudy and I have not even seen a noticeable darkening of the sky. Of course, we are only supposed to get a 60% eclipse up here, anyway. I did learn something, however: Isaac Newton suffered retinal damage from looking at a reflection of the eclipse in a pond. I was wondering about reflections of the UV rays and if they could still damage the eyes, despite not staring directly at it. Apparently, they can and do hurt the retina, too.
I took those two pics through the eclipse glasses we bought. I thought they were totally safe to look through. Our eclipse never went over the entire sun. I'd say 85% only. We actually thought we'd not see it at all today, it's been overcast most of the day today. -
As long as the eclipse sunglasses you have are the real thing, they are supposedly totally safe for viewing.
There's, of course, this nonsense going on right now: http://www.foxnews.com/science/2017...on-sept-23-christian-numerologists-claim.html The NT specifically states that no one knows the day or the hour except the Father and He is not revealing it to anyone: Matthew 24:36, Mark 13: 32 And regarding false prophets: Deuteronomy 18:22, Deuteronomy 13:5
I'm hoping for a slightly longer gap between retirement and death but would like a few more years of satisfying work under my belt before I call it quits. That said, if I got sick, I wouldn't be one of those people who soldier on. I'd be writing up a bucket list that fitted in with my timeframes and abilities and attacking it with fervour.
I am in better shape than my Dad was. I could retire today...as long as I die by next Tuesday...before lunch.
Well i also see posts in my facebook .They say the end of world will come soon etc .The problem its they say from 20 years and it not come yet
Actually, the doomsayers have been saying the world will end for thousands of years. Predicting the end of the world is part of human nature.
