I'm wondering if there is any software that ppl with many domains use to track their inventory. I would fancy you would want to track registration/expiration data, hosting details, who links where and pending work on a given domain website. Is there some tool like that or it's possible to get by without one?
You can use domainlogbook for that thing. It will provide you with data for your domains such as their expire date, rankings - page rank and Alexa You can also check when the stats have been update and all... hope this is of help!
This is a nice tool. However it still lacks in functionality. Notes field should be multiline at minimum. Another thing that worries me is privacy policy. It only talks about emails. Domain names themselves and the fact that several domains belong to the same person is also private information and the policy doesn't say anything about how this data is treated.
