    Hi

I am in desperate need of a software  that would write what I speak...I tried using Ms Word Voice Recognition, but it's makes way too many errors...so any better programs?

I read reviews about some dragon writing software...anyone who's actually used it, tell me, does it work? will it be able to write even if I speak very fast? what's the frequency of errors?

Please, only people who've actually used this software to share their real experience about it...

    Thnx :)

Dragon works but you must train it really well. Even then it will make mistakes that you'll need to correct.

I have heard of the following text 2 speech softwares.

    Dragon naturally speaking
    Ibm viavoice

But that is for dictating long speeches into a continuous text accepting medium like MS Word. I think windows added support for voice commands long ago like if you can speak 'Open Word' it will open Word. Minimize window means it will minimize window.

i suggest for that you should hire a transcriptionist... where in what you'll goin to do is record your voice and send to the transcriptionist and after a few hours or day... they will return the written format to you..

I have heard good things about Dragon Naturally Speaking. I was searching for the same thing couple of months back and almost everyone recommended that one. I ended up not buying any but it looks like that one is the best in its class right now.

Edit: Ooh, this was my 100th post. :D

I'll go with Dragon NaturallySpeaking too. I use it when I'm too tired to type and I'm quite satisfied with the results. However, I type 500-ish chars per minute, hence I don't find it very useful.
