Software that gets rid of background music.

    how do i get rid of the background music in a song ??

    so it just leaves the person singing the song thats it?

    Is there some software out there that will do this?

    No. You can do that. It's Impossible. Except it's karaoke song.

    Not at all if you use recording/editor software to send the voice through one channel and the music apart.

    Well I dont know about that, but in my 4 years experience as sound/recording engineer, I can't do such thing.

    IMHO, the audio that can be splited either is Karaoke audio with good split (L: Vocal and R: Music) or its a multitrack audio.

    You can try playing with the frequency but the sound quality will drop. The vocal frequency usually between 600 - 3khz.

    I have never heard of such software that can do that but i have heard that some companies are in the works of being able to take a piece of music and upload it and it can separate all the sound signals and isolate them. Once that is developed Hiphop producers will have a field day.
