The only site you need to get on, is download.com - its part of the cnet network. Download.com is the guerrilla of download sites. What youtube does for videos, download.com does for files. But, before your software is listed, it has to go through a screening process to make sure its virus and malware free.

What are you basically looking for? I've seen socialmarker.com that allows semi-automated submission! Are you talking about that? And, don't waste your time with those long lists... I've observed that half of the entries get outdated within 1 yr, and half of those domains would be up for sale now!
