I'm selling my software business. It has been opened for about a month and I want to sell it so that I can pursue another project. It has been pretty consistent sales this month. It's a unique script and the winner will receive bonus scripts that I haven't even listed on the site yet. I only have three scripts up and it's making a lot of sales.

I haven't been promoting it A LOT but I did submit to many search engines and directories. There has also been people that purchased scrips of mine right through this forum.

I deleted the stuff that had nothing to do with the business. So it has recently been receiving a good amount of sales. If you keep promoting and adding new scripts you will do well with this business.

So why do you start with a ridiculous low price (1$)!? I would like to bid, but if I wanna bid 5 - 10 times to find out what price you are looking for! You are wasting my time!

 

That's a standard starting bid. And that's the minimum. You take issue with it?

My question is:
Why do you set the starting bid to 1$ and not the price you wanna sell it for? Calling it a 'standard starting bid' is no excuse!

Do you have traffic stats? Are the scripts available on the site now ones you created? Will the new owner get exclusive rights to the scripts, as in you wont sell them anywhere?

yes, you will own the scripts and I nor anyone else will sell them. You will also receive hundreds of scripts that I never had a chance to add to the site.

There's many auctions that start at $1 here so I don't know why "silfur" chose to single out this one. I modeled this auction after others that I've seen up on here.
