I am interested to start a Software development/SEO firm.But I am not having any idea abt starting it and getting some permanent works ! Can anyone help ?
Do you know anything about SEO? If not, your first step should be to learn about it and offer to do it for free for someone in exchange for a recommendation.
Agreed. For any type of "service" the best way to go is to do a couple of smaller free jobs to get testimonials and referrals. Once you have a decent portfolio, you can get started on paying jobs. I'd say 6-8 small free jobs would be sufficient to start off with small paying gigs. You may also want to explore on one of those freelance websites or craig's list. I have gotten a considerable amount of freelance design work from craig's list.
Freelance sites + DP (but... you need to have 100+ ratings to get jobs constantly or even 200+ to do good). Craiglist. Adwords (you need decent money). Links from other related sites (you need decent money). Best way is to get jobs from SEO agencies or Software/Webdesign firms, so you will need to work in that way in long term.
You should probably offer to work for free as an apprentice under an existing SEO firm before trying this. I can't count how many times i've seen young kids go into the web development/design business only fail once they realize how competitive it is andh ow little they would be getting without contributing much to the actual work. If you understand SEO, you would know what business need help. And that would help you in getting started with a firm. But with no experience it will be hard to find decent projects and do a good job.
