Software Required For "Skipping" Through Streaming FLVs

    I thought the people of the programming section would know this.
    I'm confused on what part actually skips through flv videos like youtube does.
    I cant find info on google, because i dont know what im searching.

    is it the
    - actionscript in the swf/flash player
    - does it have to do something with the conversion of the flv videos (flvtool2, ffmpeg)
    - or is it something else?

    What do you mean which program skips through them? You mean what program you use to play them?

    yea anything that will allow me to skip through the videos, like youtube does.
    i want to do the same for my little video site

    I had a website where I was streaming flv format videos. I have the necessary player to stream flv files. If you want I can send you the file and instructions on how to use it, and even an example... PM me if you are interested.
