Hi All, I hope this is the right section, because I wasn't 100% sure where to post. I am looking for an all in one software program that will allow me to create a property rental website. Listed below are the features it needs to have. I want something that will create the whole site, not something that bolts on to an exsisting website.

If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would be very grateful :)

I would like to have the option of showing 3 featured properties, special promotions and possibly some adverts on the homepage. It is important to me that the site is simple, straight forward, easy to navigate and clutter free.

Add / Edit Unlimited Property (text & images)

Allow Advertisers to add/edit Unlimited Property (text & images)

Approval Process: Authorise Property Listings posted by your Advertisers, before any listings go live (visible on the public website)

Add / Edit Unlimited Pages, each with Unlimited articles

    Advertiser Registration / Subscriptions

    Create unlimited Areas for listings

Allow Seller/Landlords to sign-up online and manage their own inventory of properties

    Take Credit/Debit Payments

Newsletter & Mail System for Contacting your customers and other contacts

    Property Search-Engine & Browse Menus

    Sitemap

    FAQs database management

    Statistics - Visitor Reports

Automagically interface with Google Map interaction (http://maps.google.co.uk/)

    Many Thanks

    Dee

You're not going to find one that does all of that, like process credit card payments. You need to go through a third-party to do that. To create the actual site, though - the layout, pages, content, etc - if you want an all-in-one package I suggest Dreamweaver.

Hi, sorry I should of been clearer :)

I am not looking for design software as in Dreamweaver etc. I am thinking more along the lines of all in one Holiday Rentals/Sales software with a payment module build in. I am not expecting it to be a free script of anything and am willing to pay for a full system, if there is such a thing.

Or maybe some sort of CMS with a build in payment module.

I'm really just looking for any ideas:confused:

It sounds like you need a custom built solution. A good webdesign firm / designer should be able to build that for you without any problems...

Essentially, just map out what you want, how the process works - what you see, what the customers see, what whoever see - what happens, etc etc.

It'd be pretty straightforward to build something based on a detailed spec (although maybe not so cheap).

Hi, I am a webdesigner however as you said to custom create that from scratch wouldn't be cheap. So my thought was if I could find something like a cms with different modules that did everything I needed that would save a lot of time, and hense keep the price down.

But maybe it's not going to be possible

    Thanks

    Dee

PS If anyone has any ideas, please feel free to drop me a PM or email :)

You've got a lot of goals for your site. You might check out OpenRealty as a basis of the site. Then you'll need to incorporate the other functions by either third-party scripts or build it from scratch. If you use Dreamweaver, you could easily build the database functionality for user management, faq management and Google maps integration with the Dreamweaver extensions in my sig links.

So do all the design yourself - think it through and create all the pages you're going to need, right down to examples of how the results are going to be returned etc. etc. A coder could still create the backend stuff you can't manage yourself and just stick it into your template. It really wouldn't be too hard - especially if you have it well planned and well designed in advance.
