    Hi

    I want to setup HAproxy on a server and i want to ask if i need any software on it like php or web server or anything else as it will only load balancing and nothing else?

    You can consider pfsense along with haproxy. To set up a proper load balancing solution you may at least need 2 or more web servers, 2 database servers, and 1 load balancer or you can call it as master server.
