Software - academic version versus commercial version

    Hi!

    I would like to ask those who knows the answer: can be started a legal action against a web/print design company which uses the software's academic version, instead of the commercial one?

    The academic versions EULA should address that issue, I would think.

    That would basically be against the EULA. Technically speaking, the store would probably not sell it to you without proper Academic IDs.

    Most likely he's a student and wants to buy the academic versions and use it for his web business. At least that's what I'm guessing.
