SoftArtisans ImgWrite - Bad resize quality

I'm trying to find a suitable resize setting for SoftArtisans ImgWrite.

The problem is that no setting is good.

    Example:
    Before resize:
    http://www.evasunderklader.se/p/ob-bloomshorts-[fullsize].jpg
    After:
    http://www.evasunderklader.se/p/ob-bloomshorts.jpg

The above is achieved with saiFilterImage, filter 8 (http://support.softartisans.com/ImgWriter/doc/reference/imagegen.asp#ResizeImage)

But it the original pic before resize is quite a bit bigger then the artefacts disapear. In other words it depends on the resize needed.

If I use the recommended filter saiBicubic the picture gets good but another size looks like it's been excessively sharpened:

I've tried resizing in other softwares (Photoshop etc) and I do NOT get this problem.

.. and, oh yeah. SoftArtisans wont talk to you unless you pay =(

Try using a vector graphic program like Illustrator. Inkscape is a free open-source option for Macs. Just Google "vector graphics".

Just to point out: SoftArtisans ImgWrite is a server side software. I use it in my script when I upload product pictures.

I could of course use Photoshop or other but then I'd have to upload manually.
