I need some suggestions as to what to use for online classes. Right now I am in the process of gathering a few teachers to teach online to a class of students. to help determine the success of it, I need to know how many people are interested in joining (with their names). So far I have done this by emailing the people on the list, and they have replied. But I need a programme which makes it easier to track. Then I need some sort of programme which helps me track of the online class such as attendance (so an online register). Also, a sort-of chat room which allows voice (of the teacher only). I could use a online radio programme but I am thinking people might share the link. So I'd rather they have to login and listen, and if someone else logs in with their account then the other person gets logged off. It should also be easy to upload recordings to that. i have heard of programmes but I have forgotten the name. I just don't know how to bring this all together. Any suggestions?
That sounds like a really big project. There is something called Moodle, which is a web application that educators can use to create effective online learning sites. But I don't know the extents of it, you might wanna go check that out.
That's what I was looking for. I don't mind if the programme only does one thing or another as things like recording I can do myself and also putting it on the website.
