Socialengine or Dolphine what do i pick

    please i know this is an age old Q, and please now spam replys.. i am stuck between socialengine and boonex dolphine. (what do i pick)

    i understand that one is free ( but its not really you have to have ads in the footer and thats not for me.)
    i also hear that dolpine is full of bugs but whos tested the new ver 7. is that true.
    i know that socialeninge is a greate platfrom but it comes with hardly anything.. it has lots of mods to add on thats true. but every time i look at the two i think what the hell shall i go with.
    i dont have money to burn but i do want to start my site as soon as poss please can and one help me out, what are your views on the two scripts.

    Social Engine is a Professional Looking one and Is awsome from the Signup till The admin area..! I have been running Social engine Social Network for last 3 years and is still running some under my friends.

    Well, Dolphin is open Source but never a good looking one..!

    They are both very good scripts. I am running sites using all the top dating and social networking scripts, including these two.
    You'll find that social engine is easier to use for members, but with less features and functions as Dolphin 7.

    Both scripts have tons of third party mods and templates that you can add (if you have the money).
    Dolphin 7 (now 7.01) is pretty amazing, but can be pretty tough to navigate and figure out for newbies. However, I really like all the flash apps with Dolphin 7 (plugged into a Ray Media Server).
    Social Engine 4 will be coming out in a few months, and it's a lot like the current Facebook. You will have to add 3rd party flash apps if you want to include webcam chat rooms, etc.

    The bottom line is that they are both very good scripts. I would just play around on the demos and decide which one you think your members will like better.
