I"m having a little bit of a time getting my social widgets to look good in my sidebar. I've seen many pages (blogger) where the widgets blend right in with their themes. Mine look horrible. I'm using Blogcatalog and Google Connect. The other widgets I've seen do not have the outline or a background. It's just the little pictures of the members. Any idea how I can get that look? Here's an example of what I'm talking about on this blog. It's down the left side of the page. See how the background is the same exact color as her theme. How can I get mine to look like this? http://christine-livepassionately.blogspot.com/ Thanks.
Sociable http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/sociable/ is probably the best social Widget for Wordpress.
I already that installed. What I'm asking is about the appearance of my widgets in my sidebar. I would really like to know how to do this. Thanks.
I figured this out and I'll share it in case anyone else is trying to figure this out. I went into my Wordpress template and found the color code for my sidebar. I simple used that code when I was creating my background widget. It worked for both the BlogCatalog and Google connect widgets. It was actually quite easy to do. But if you don't know how, not so much. Hopefully this helps someone.
