Hi all, I am starting a social seo campaign and am looking for some ideas. I have created accounts with squidoo, Del.icio.us, Digg and flickr. I have created links to my site on all of these. What other sites do you suggest? What kind of strategy should I use? Thanks for any and all input.
When it comes to social networking sites like those you listed, the key is unique and interesting content. It's pretty simple, really: put yourself in the shoes of the average visitor of Digg or whatever similar site you choose, and think about what you would want to see or what you actually get you to click on it and check it out.
Thanks, As I was working with these sites though, I noticed, like on squidoo, you can reference other sites for your "Lens". So I added a Del.icio.us account that also let me put links to my site. I am thinking that since my lens is now pointing links to my Delicious book marks, that this will help get PR for the book marks page. I am now book marking my squidoo page to help that away and so on... Does this help to link all of the social sites together? This is kind of my current "strategy". I am looking to see what other kinds of strategies might be out there....does anyone know?
You should try and get the things you are doing straight. You are using social marketing. However you are not doing anything called social seo (there is no such animal that I am aware of) since you cannot optimize the squidoo or delicious or any other third party werbsites pages themselves. Unless they hire you to do seo for them Also most of the sites you mention are using nofollow tags, or soon will be, thereby canceling the effect of trying to boost PR on other pages.
