Social Networking Strategies

What are some good strategies for using the social networking sites to help market my site. I recently added a good bookmark button (AddThis.com) to the top of every page and am getting a few saves.

Are there better ways to increase this? From my site? By other methods? I am looking for ethical solutions but effective ones!

Push them a little bit to act by asking them to tell others. Don't put up just a link, button.

 

Yeah addthis is great - but to get the ball rolling then click on all the services in addthis and add it yourself to your own social bookmark account

 

wow that stumbleswap thing is pretty cool. I've never seen that before.

In my opinion StumbleUpon traffic is by far the best social bookmaring traffic around

AddThis rocks! Similar tools include Socialmarker and Socializer. You may also want to use Social Poster to submit your website to a number of social-bookmarking websites.

Kennedy - Do you know how long Stumble Swap has been around? Does it really help? Just curious never heard of even "StumbleUponed" it

 

Stumbleswap.com hasn't worked for me once.

I've tried several times and keep getting the error. And yes the sites are getting stumbled, I checked
