Some users have mentioned problems with the registration that I'm working on, but everything else should be more or less bug free. Please post any criticism or comments.

    Thanks.

You have a very interesting concept. Properly marketed, I believe you could do well with something like this. Run with it - the design is semi-primitive, but sometimes simple is best. I would recommend creating individual page titles for bookbarkability and search engine friendliness.

The concept of your site is valuable. If the right crowd catches wind, you'll have yourself a nice self-sustaining cash-cow.

This is getting to be a crowded market (stocktickr, digstock, predictwallstreet are a few of the better ones), but it looks like Gradr is a nice entry. One suggestion I have is adding an RSS feed that people can use to add their favorite stocks to their blogs.

Everything looks good except I think you should have a better explanation on what the site is on the front page Instead of "Still Confused.... contact us"
Also, make "what is gradr?" and "how do I use gradr?" seperate pages.

Wow, I wasn't even aware of the existance of http://www.predictwallstreet.com. It's an amazing site. :)

Thank you all for the comments. As far as RSS goes, I will be adding that once I learn how to program it. This has all been a huge learning experience.

Also, I will make a better explanation in the sidemenu. The current one I whipped up after someone pointed out how completely confusing my site was to him. Originally, the explanation box only had the text below the "still confused" heading.

Check back often. I'm constantly working on this thing.

    Thanks! :)

I recommend you get a interface designer because the simplicity of your website does not offer better usability IMHO. I suggest you look to applications such as 37signal's Basecamp (basecamphq.com) or Dan Cederholm's Cork'd (corkd.com) Your idea is nice and I know a lot of people who need this kind of application. So good luck and make that interface rock to complement your programming! If you don't find a GUI designer for the job, feel free to poke me ;).

The concept is a nice one.

But the desing is not so great. I think you can do a lot in design part.

I would advice to hire some designer. Or if you are good at PSD's then get some free PSD's from http://www.templatesbox.com or http://www.oswd.org

Both rpovide nice and free to use templates.

I added a TIP section to some important pages to help new users understand how to use the site. A lot of people have been telling me the site is confusing at first glance, and I hope this will solve the problem. Any comments would be appreciated.

As far as the design goes, what specific things can I do to it without scrapping it and grabbing something off of templatesbox or oswd?

I like it - moving in the right direction. Of course I am function over form, so I am more interested in seeing more users giving votes vs. "prettier design".

I completely underestimated the promotion part of this project and am paying the price. I'll be making a bigger push soon with some giveaways and contests soon.
