Oh okay, thank you. Rep given I was just wondering is there a chance it could be seen as spam if you leave your links on certain message boards/social websites? Or would it do no harm?
When submitting to these SB sites, do you just submit the url of your homepage or submit all of your pages?
Only main url in most cases. Submitting all pages from one site can get our account closed on that site.
It's good to do a little research on the community - especially for the smaller ones. Del.icio.us has such a wide user base you may as well go with the home page and a bunch of important subs - (del.icio.us is handy anyways for managing your bookmarks). Some of the other ones, you might want to campaign to get one of your good sub-pages ranked as popular to drive traffic from that niche to your site. It's good too from a PR(not pagerank) Management perspective because many of them will show you a list of users who have bookmarked a given site and allow you to communicate with them directly. Some personal attention from a site owner can turn a casual occasional visitor into a regular.
Thanks to a couple of people here I found another four to add to my list of social bookmarking sites. Stop by and check it out, there's a few on there that haven't been mentioned here yet.
Its a great way of getting traffic especially if your just starting out. I think theres a difference between social bookmarking and article sites though.
