I am not familiar with zopria, perhaps you can post a link maybe?

As far as money making is concerned, it depends on your niche and traffic.

I somehow see social networking sites fitting in the same bit as all of the arcades / myspace sites already out there, which has a horrible CPC. I guess if you had volume it would work, but there are better programs out there to monetize a social networking site (think CPM...)

I run a social networking website and i allow my members to have there own adsense ads in there profiles. yes it is a good way to earn though adsense, but then i don't really monitarize it too much!

Social networking sites have lots of visitors, and getting visits on them is easy as members keep referring other members, also content creation is easy as members do it all;)

if you search google by social networking website, my sites comes on top:D

It really depends on the traffic. Social media is a tricky business as far as I have observed, you find out there a lot of social media sites that didn't work. So it is all about traffic. Build your traffic and the money will follow.

I also run a blog hosting site, (not 100% a social networking site per say), but it does pay out.
You need to have 000's of members and 00's of regulars.

we also allow users to add Adsense to their blogs and I believe that some members are doing very well with it.

    None that I know of.
