I wonder how to use Social Media to generate traffic for my website. Are posts in the social media counted as a backlink? Is it worth to focus on social media for backlinking?

 

Social media is only going to be effective if you have interesting content that their users want to click on and read. You might want to get a writer to write pillar articles for you before starting with a social media campaign

 

Any link from Social media i.e Facebook count as nofollow backlink. nofollow backlink is also helpful for ranking and you will get traffic as well.

My blog in my signature gets about 150 visits per day from social media (twitter/fb/youtube) at the moment.

The main reason for this though is due to the quality of content that I offer people so it gets shared quite a lot

 

Social media really works specially when you have great circle of friends that can be your visitor

 

There is a program for Twitter. You can make your Twitter page and then that program will automatically load the page with postings, make frends for you etc... SOme tell this helps.

Any post form social media are counted as backlinks, just post your links and introduce it your friends, anyway the best thing to do this is you first make a network and have a lot of friends because the possible traffic may come from them.

 

Social media is a good way of creating backlinks and also increasing traffic which helps in relevancy.

 

Ofcourse it worth to focus on it but it depents on the stuff your posting if it will be worth or not.
