Currently i m using all these sites for promotional purpose. I heard that Google+ is very good for SEO. From my experience, for marketing apart from Google+ i find Pinterest and StumbleUpon are also very useful sites too.
G+ seems to be good for seo, but i am not sure of the future of the social network. Is a good way to get links on google faster. I've had success from twitter too, but only if its good content to share. Facebook seems to be decreasing as people don't want to leave facebook for a link unless it looks great.
Personally, for my personal projects, for my friends, for my clients? "preference" is a consumers point of view. Like that, don't like that is fine. As a "producer", it does not matter which one you prefer, you go where your audience / customers are and play there, even if you completely dislike it.
Completely agree. You have to see where your target audience is more active and base your strategy on that. Why waste time on Twitter even if you enjoy it, if you're going to get no RoI?
In past I have used StumbleUpon for sharing links from my blog. But soon after I post a link to StumbleUpon, I'm receiving spam page views (about 15). So I stopped using it. Is anyone else having the same problem?
For me Facebook and Google plus are currently the best sites, both are colourful and has lot of space to description and sharing.
I prefer Facebook and Pinterest. Sometime uses Google+ for link building and stuff but the traffic comes fast with Facebook if the marketing is done right and the customers are targeted.
