Social Media Marketing—Plzzz Help!!!!!!!!

    Hi,
    I am an online marketer. I recently got a client who wants me to do Social Media Marketing only. It is a relatively new field for me. I have been researching a lot on social media marketing these days, but am still not confident on how to go about it.

    Can you please help me out in this and give some valuable suggestions and advice? Also, I came across this information about a workshop on Social Media Marketing ( http://www.socialmediaworkshop.net) Dave Evans (who is perhaps very renowned in this field and has also written a book—Social Media Marketing-an hour a day). I’ll be attending the workshop. Please tell me how much can that workshop help me?

    Social media marketing is not that difficult its just a new way of marketing yoru website in web.


    here are the some of the best social medium where you can market your website(but make sure you dont over spam)

    Orkut - its general chatting facility but here you can create more viral marketing then any other place.

    Facebook - its quite similar as orkut but here you can send your updates using yoru status message.

    Myspace - create best Myspace profile page (it accepts HTML).

    Twitter - spread the word about your latest updates.

    Blogs - use blogs to promote

    widgets - if you have rss feeds create widget/gadgets so that you can improve your user base by subscriptions.

    Digg/Delicious/Stumble - Bookmark your pages so that you can get users reviews and based on it make changes.

    and many more ways you can do this social media.

    just read mashable.com daily youll find more resources.

    The best strategy is to create as many web 2.0 pages as possible.. like squidoo and hubpages and do social bookmarking to them

    social media marketing is a pretty broad concept. there are lot to it than it seems. different social media site has different marketing method and one method doesn;t work for all. YouTube is different than FaceBook for example. social networking sites like youtube, myspace, facebook, linkedin, they all can be very effective marketing tools if used peoperly. you can also use docial media sites like Squidoo, HubPages etc to promote your site and to get some internal traffic form Squifoo and HubPages. you can read my blogpost on link building with social media and web 2.0 pages for more info
