My understanding on the social groups was to allow people with common interests to communicate. Therefore, I thought there wouldn't be too many limitations on the messages and things there. Unfortunately I just found out there was a 1700 char limit on the messages. Do you think this could be raised? Sorry, I'm long-winded. It would definitely be beneficial for what I need and I think you may find more use in the social groups feature this way too. Even if the messages character limit was raised for social groups only instead of user to user, that would be helpful! Secondly, I want my social group to be private, but I don't want to have to approve discussions posted by the members. As is, if I want my social group to be invite only, I also have to approve their discussions. Ideally, I want it to act basically as a private forum. ...Better yet, would you guys be willing to give me a private forum that I could moderate / provide access to? If not, I definitely think the above suggestions above would add some value to the social groups feature.
The maximum message length has been raised a bit, but we aren't going to add the option of join to view (private) social groups, sorry. And no, you can't have your own private forum. lol
