Selling Social.fund fundraising website like GoFundMe

Why are you selling this site?
I have bad carpal tunnel and I am phasing myself out of the web development industry by the end 2019. I built Social.fund in the hopes of disrupting GoFundMe and getting bought out but have not had the time to put in the necessary work to do so. So far GFM has bought out their biggest competitors. I do fully believe with the right management and attention it can be the next big fundraising website.

I launched this website in June of 2017. In the first month I spent $500 on advertising but since then traffic and growth has been 100% organic via word of mouth and people sharing campaigns.

I’d love to keep going on this project but my other job eats up the time I’d need to manage this website along with coding it. I can only do one or the other.

How is it monetized?
Currently I have it set to accept voluntary donations from fundraisers and donors. I do have Adsense setup on campaigns but that is not currently turned on. I receive between $10-30 / month from users. I don’t try very hard. More focused on growth.

I have ideas on how to monetize it more. I will pass these along to the new owner.

How much time does this site take to run?
Currently I spend about 1 hour a week answering customer service requests Via Zendesk.

What challenges are there with running this site?
The biggest challenge with this website is that I didn’t code a CMS for it. The website is built on custom code and I didn’t use any public frameworks. I use PhpMyAdmin to manage users and campaigns.

I have a few ideas that can be coded to differentiate features from GoFundMe that I can either pass along or code for the new owner.

Future work and support
I am offering the option that I will code and work up to 15 hours per week for the new owner at $20/hour for a year. These hours can be paid for monthly ($1200 / month) and do not roll over month to mont or you can simply buy it for a year at $15,000 up front. I will code any new features you may want. I coded the entire website myself already.

That said you can also just buy the site and use your own developer.

Hi is this web app still for sale or is something else going on here? If it's for sale let's proceed with escrow and hire you for maintenance (15 hours per week at $20/hour for a year.). I have been writing to you on the help section of the social.fund website with my email but no answer. What is going on?
