i was wondering if posting your blog and all posts to many social bookmarking sites will help me rank better in SERPs. will too much social bookmark postings harm my site? what is best avarage per day? will opening multiple accounts on delicious, etc. and saving all my blog posts there result in better ranking on SERPs? whats your opinion on most efficient use of social bookmarking sites?
Too many social bookmarks? Good question - I can't imagine there'd be too many. I try to add a few a day per site, along with other sites outside my network. Let your account age, because as you do, and add more bookmarks/thumbs up, the weight of each seems to go up. I like the stumbleupon exchange. It's a nice way to spread the love, and get hits from many others (varying ip's, isp's, times of day surfing, etc). Plus it's free. Furl seems to be doing well for me lately. Google is all over that site, indexing it quickly. Stumbleupon always sends lots of traffic, though like most of these types of sites the quality/conversion is low once they get there. But, if you just want a traffic boost, alexa boost, and/or pagerank boost, then why not - it helps.
okay but is there any limit? like if i submit my blog to 100 social bookmarking websites a day and continue doing that for a week will i get sandboxed or sth? what is the best avarage per day for you?
As far as limits, use common sense and logic of what would look spammy to the SEs. If a big site with 10s of thousands of links gets a few hundred in a day, it is not an unusual event, but for a smaller site with only dozens- well. On the other hand, if it is a legitimate breaking news story that gets picked up by major sites, then how can that be seen as wrong?
Yes, will help you, but be sure do it slowly, becaouse you could become banned... Not try to add many pages at the same time... Best, Jakomo
