Social Bookmarks Demon Review - Scam - Be Aware

    Hi,

I spent some time researching solutions for automatic social bookmarking submission and Social Bookmarks Demon was script with best features.

I paid $169 for it and after all day of testing I found that it's not working like author wrote on sales page.
Inside admin panel there is some kind of report option that can just tell you that your URL is submitted, but can't tell on what sites.
So, I went on each site (listed on sales page of software), checked is my URL there and found that it's posted only on few of them.

After few emails sent with bug report I asked for refund, but no answer.

When I send refund request via Plimus, vendor answered
"full refund can be issued only when software fails to operate after support staff investigation"

But on sales page he wrote:
    "Moneyback Guarantee
I'm so proud about Social Bookmarks Demon, that I offer full money back guarantee for 7 days. For example, if Social Bookmarks Demon will build so many backlinks that your servers will not handle premium traffic anymore, just ask for full refund!"

I also found that owner of this site made few fake reviews on squidoo and blogs around, so it's possible that he will answer on this post with some fake account claiming how this software really works.

Also if you check site of similar product Social Bookmarks Submitter, you can see that it has the same design and I think that is the same owner like Social Bookmarks Demon.

    Be aware of this products!

i was wondering about that product myself and was wondering whether it was any good. looks like its not.

how did you pay? if by paypal, then you can file a dispute. if by credit card, then call your credit card company and dispute the charge as well. direct paypal/credit card company to the page where it says Moneyback Guarantee

I was thinking about the guarantee itself. 7 Days? That right there tells you something is fishy.

But in the time when I made order they didn't have it.
I have google cache page of sales page without this link.

i prefer to do it manually, submit to all pligg sites, then digg, stumbleupon, delicious, technorati ect.. there is this forum called namepro's its a domain forum, i go on there and buy social bookmarks sometimes, gets my sites out there atleast, you can buy 100 stumble's for $30 or something, all legit ones too.

Buying them means they're not legit in and of itself. You run the risk of being found out too because the account stumbling your article will stumble other paying customer articles and eventually a pattern is formed.

Using the social bookmarks as intended and even making your sites social bookmark friendly is the way to go imo.

That has to be the worst TOS for a product that I have ever read. Basically, there is no chance for refund. You are stuck with the software. Gotta love the line where there are absolutely no refunds if you bought it through an affiliate (WTF?)

Refund aside, if the license gets deactivated, then the software destroys itself? And they are not responsible for any computer damage or data loss that may occur due to this process?

I don't know anything about this product. If I read this disclaimer before purchasing it, it would throw up many red flags in my mind that would stop me dead in my tracks. It tells me that the software just plain out sucks and they cannot guarantee it.

Yes. But they wrote that page after I asked for refund.
    So, I didn't see it.

Plimus support still didn't answer on my email.

Did you use a credit card? Do a chargeback. If not, expensive lesson learned...

The reason the TOS is not in the cache is because it is being blocked for indexing. Links pointing to TOS are nofollow. Meta tag for robots on the TOS page are noindex, nofollow, noarchive.

But I agree with you. That page was just put up. The cache date of the Homepage is August 31st, and the link to the TOS is not on there.

I noticed that you have been spreading the word on quite a few forums. Keep them all updated and informed.

He used PayPal. I agree, contest the charge and get a dispute going with PayPal. This will help other PayPal users in the future.

Make sure you document the TOS page being abruptly put up. Get a screenshot of the page for reference since it will not be cached anywhere. Post that here in this thread and I will affirm it as being correct (others will too). Post it in your other threads.

The only guarantee at your time of purchase was the one sentence that you pointed out. And it says you can get your money back. No if ands or buts about it.

PS - Here is another trick they are using on that TOS page. External links to the page (like the one you provided in this thread) are redirected to the domain root of the website. They do not want people linking to it -- more shadiness on their part.

What was the point in buying bookmarking demon anyway ? It only works with 20 services ? This software just can't cost that much...

Are you sure it was social bookmarking demon? I remember that being a ClickBank product, which obviously doesn't use plimus as a processor.

I agree with The first poster re: this Social Bookmarks Demon:

The software is useless to me without capthca verification - how many social sites do you think you can auto submit to without capthca verification. Not many I can tell you but nothing was mentioned of this on the sales page of this site nor was it mentioned that you would have to install this software on a server or pay to have it done.

I mailed the owner and he refuses to give me a refund even though it states on his webpage, rather misleadingly that
"Moneyback Guarantee - I'm so proud about Social Bookmarks Demon, that I offer full money back guarantee for 7 days. For example, if Social Bookmarks Demon will build so many backlinks that your servers will not handle premium traffic anymore, just ask for full refund!"
    from this webpage : socialbookmarks.biz

I feel cheated - definitely stay away from this software its a SCAM !
