I see you can submit web urls and article urls to social bookmarking sites, however does anyone know if you are able to submit forum threads to these sites?
You can submit a forum thread but its sure to get nowhere or be downvoted unless it has some community value.
I would think that a targeted forum would be just as beneficial to the social bookmark community as a targeted article or webpage. If the information is relevant, I would disagree that the fact that a bookmark link to a forum would be negative. It all depends on the quality of the content.
Social bookmarking in High Page Rank website will help you to get more backlinks also difference in ranking if you post with good title and description.
As per my experience, the purpose of social bookmarking is to Crowle our page as fast as possible by search engine's crowlers. Forums are regularly crowled by search engine's spiders so i would like to say there is no need to do social bookmarking for a forum thread.
Ya.....you can submit forum threads with signature in social bookmarking that will help in getting backlink.
forum thread won't do too much to help you out. Use other forms of promoting the thread, like writing a good post and linking back to it.
Yes Sarah i am completely agree with you. search engine's crowlers uses forums and Bookmarks used for the forums so by using bookmarks you can index your post more faster.
Well I never submit forum threads on it. But yes I have seen many forums has option in their threads to book mark it. So you can submit if you want.
