Not done that much of it myself despite being into social media, although I now want to. Am I right in asssuming all most people do is just use a free service to set up loads of accounts at a time that also submits to the sites? If so, any suggestions what is best? Also, do you guys find that simply setting up accounts and submitting works? Or do you really have to spend time on certain sites and build up a rep/relationships? Any advice appreciated
Here's one good site you can use: http://imautomator.com/ This one just lets you enter the address of your page and submit to 15+ sites using accounts that have already been set up!
Signing up and upload your sites in social bookmarking sites are less effective unless you build a network.
Social Bookmarking is useful to promote your website in search engine's. If you create one article then you need to bookmark for your article, In this process you have some more backlinks for your websites.
The whole idea of social networks is to be - well - social! In order to gain the most 'juice' from sites such as FaceBook, you need to develop your audience of followers and build relationships of trust. Also, you must focus your efforts towards a single niche (marriage, animal training, underwater basket weaving, whatever) and gain the trust of your following to that goal. Bouncing around from one affiliate link to the other just damages your credibility. Best, --JR
social bookmarking is also useful for making backlinks just submit a quality content then more readers will come
Hehe, I just tried it too. Thanks for that. What do you think about the "professional" membership? Is it worth upgrading?
thanks, I tried this. So do you guys think that is sufficient, when you write a new blog post/lens/article simply whack it into this and ping it off to the 15 sites and hope for the best?
I would NEVER do software article submissions, but always do manual. On some sites, like hubpages, their is a community & you need to be active to promote your articles (and make the links do-follow). Other article submission sites like EzineArticles or ArticlePool you don't need to. Just submit your article with the appropriate information & it's good to go. I'd probably get a good selection of article posting sites/high traffic free blog sites, articles submission sites and wiki sites to submit articles to. Just make sure your articles are high quality and not stuffed with links! In regard to social bookmarking--you can generally do a Google search for do-follow sites. Here's one I found--http://rosa.pe/2010/02/social-bookmarking-do-and-no-follow-list/ Again, do it manually--set up accounts, make a short (100 or so words) description and plug your keyword in. I've found social bookmarks to be an awesome source of cheap backlinks. Have fun.
Social bookmarking is of great help to the internet marketers. They also help in getting quality incoming links that will help in increasing the page rank. Whenever you launch a new product, you can social bookmark the product page so that everyone can access it. It enlarges the market of your product by reaching to customers around the world.
If the link you submit is cool. you will rock. Also, sometimes many people create multiple accounts to vote their own links as Hot or just Digg them.
OK so still a few questions - what benefit is 'do follow' for social bookmarking, as I thought do follow meant you could comment on something and it have a link back to your site. So what I am going to do is: - create squidoo lens - create hub page - submit my lens, hub page, blog post and website to as many social bookmarks as possible using IMAUTOMATOR and then going through all of the ONLYWIRE profiles and registering for them all and submitting the lot again - repeat this for every single lens/hub page/blog post I write Should I be doing this for every page on my website too? Does what I am doing sound right? Thanks
