I have social bookmarking icons on all of my sites pages. I have bookmakred every page and bookmark every new pages using Google bookmakrs, deljcio.us and yahoo buzz. Is there a way to tell if anyone is bookmarking my pages?

Many social bookmarking plugins also offer statistics. You'll need to pick one that does.

Sites such are based on voting, essentially a "digg" is a vote for a particular webpage and the more votes the higher your page ranks on their site. To track votes they try to prevent the same page from being dugg separately so if you want to bookmark a page that has been dugg already you add a vote for the page. Each vote does not add a link to the page. If you find your original "digg" it will show how many others have voted for it.

It also depends whether your site catches the fancy of people frequenting the bookmarking site.. For example, digg audience loves stories on technology, gadgets, video games etc. so if your site is related to that niche, you may get lot of people bookmarking your site.
