SEO your site.. Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of improving the volume or quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via "natural" or un-paid ("organic" or "algorithmic") search results as opposed to search engine marketing (SEM) which deals with paid inclusion. Typically, the earlier (or higher) a site appears in the search results list, the more visitors it will receive from the search engine. SEO may target different kinds of search, including image search, local search, and industry-specific vertical search engines. This gives a web site web presence.
I would add that it is in your interest to install a blog (WordPress is my preference) on your site. Add content. There will be an RSS feed. Submit your feed via FeedBurner (through Google). I use a tool called RSSBot from Incansoft that submits your feed to a load of RSS feed aggregators. If you use Onlywire to help with bookmarking, good for you. Its a great free tool. But go through your submissions and take the RSS feeds from your bookmark site profiles and add them to your submission list. It takes a little while to set it up, but once it's set up, all you have to do is hit the "ping" button in the RSSBot software (25 bucks at Incansoft- excellent value) whenever you add new content. This will flood your site with backlinks and maximize your SEO. After the initial hour or so set up, it's a grand total of 15 minutes to bookmark, confirm, and ping after adding content. Plus, you get added traffic from places you didn't even know existed!
I'm confused. You have titled the thread 'Social Bookmarking'. I'll give my answer in regards to that: Use Social Marker or Social Poster and if you use Firefox get the Share-a-Holic plug in. If you have a blog 'socialize' each of your posts. For more one way backlinks and traffic in this order I would submit keyword researched, anchor text links to: Your own site. (deep linking-cross promote your pages.) Directories. Forums. Comment marketing. Exchanges. Article marketing. (Very time consuming.) Everyone that has posted has awesome ideas for you. Move on down the list and narrow it down to what you need to do. Here is an article I wrote last year. It still applies: How to Get Backlinks - My Way
