Social Bookmarking?

Does anyone here still actively using Social Bookmarking? So that, the only one that I'm still using is Digg.com. Any other social bookmarking site that is still effective and worth to submit, please advise. Thanks

 

Delicious can send a lot of traffic if your article gets bookmarked a lot and becomes popular. This is because it won't only hit on Delicious home page, but on a ton of others like PopURLS and JimmyR. Reddit can also be useful, but you gotta have really good content and a close group of Reddit users for that.

 

Well, i use digg, stumbleupon and delicious and all of them have turned out to be effective for me...
Recently i found buzz from yahoo working quite well... so i trying new things with that too..

 

Stumbleupon can be a decent traffic source if you have some good content and a few close friends. But that said, social traffic rarely convert. They don't even bother to look at your adsense ads.

It's only good for the mere purpose of building traffic and site / brand awareness.

 

Yes, it generate good traffic but i use only digg and stumbleupon

 

I use Mixx, Digg, StumbleUpon, and Del.ico.us, anything past this point gives diminishing returns.

I'm still using social bookmarking as a part of my marketing strategy.I mostly focusing in building quality backlinks to get high page rank on search engines.

 

social bookmarking still works and I use bookmarking demon for it, works like a charm

 

I think this method is still a winner depending on what you want out of it. Personally i find it good when combined with other methods to help boost the overall ranking of my site with the search engines. In regards to getting qulity traffic from the social sites, i don't think this is worth it. Like i says your quality traffic will come from organic searhes so use it to help boost your rankings.

I've got a ShareThis button on all of my blog posts and another social bookmarking button. Since using them and adding my RSS feed to a load of sites I'm getting around 10 blog hits a day, and a comment every few days too. I didn't think they would do much but it's really got me some traffic and I'm building on it every day.

 

they say Digg is no follow now! is that true?

I use Onlywire (the free version), Clipmarks, and always submit my rss feeds to aggregators.

It works pretty well for traffic.

 

I think Digg is highly effective and very good for increasing traffic!

 

i've used senuke and bookmarkingdemon to help bookmark my sites. it may be pricey but it automates the process and submits to tons of site.

 

I use it to promote my german blog because it's hard to get votes on digg so there is no great use for english blogs I guess
