The site is made with HotaruCMS. Current Alexa ranking is around 33K, Visits per month are 11K, PR is 1.

1] The site operates very much on its own. User registers > verifies account > gets a member role assigned > submits his or third-party blog/news url > add tags etc & submits the link. People can then vote on this news item if they like it. The new posts gets auto posted as a Tweet.

2] The entire content is like an Excerpt from the original source, either their own blog post or someone's.

3] I am not able to give any time recently on maintenance such as doing a clean-up of obscene posts, block those users etc. however, it doesn't eat too much time.

4] The platform is PHP and CMS used is: BakerCMS (formerly known as HotaruCMS)

2- what methods did you use to promoste the site and what methods do you recommend new holder should apply to widen the users base ?

 

1] I would have loved to be able to give my time doing the transfer, but given my current schedule - to be very frank, I can not commit on it. However, I will surely help you out if you feel stuck somewhere in the middle. Which web hosting do you have? Mine is on HostGator.

2] Methods were nothing extra special. I wrote an email to few blog owner & told them about the site, requesting inclusion of this site in their social bookmarking site list. I spent some time creating links through various blog commenting.

 

can i have the bandwidth consumption? just checking if a shared hosting can accommodate such traffic.

 

This site is on a HostGator shared hosting with my other domains.
Bandwidth usage for December shows: 8.73 Gig in CPanel. And, they never suspended this website for high CPU usage till date.

However, my other WordPress self hosted blog got suspended once for high CPU usage, but not this site.
