Social Bookmarking submission / Directory Submission , which is more beneficial ?

Both are good, but sprinkling in some ezines and press releases along with a daily blog or 2 are more beneficial and allow you to build links to more inner pages.

 

Ezine articles worked well for me too

 

There are many sites available for social bookmarking here you will find some of them which I Prefer and use most of time "ebizmba".

 

directory submission - where your links will be pending until approval
SBS - where your links will be visible instantly

Both are gr8 way to create backlinks but If you have a new site then it had better to do only SBS coz it will help you to index your site fast. otherwise lots of web directory require 3-months or more to accept your site for directory.

 

Start with directories when indexing. Then SBM's when building trust/rank.

 

according to my experience both having its own value, and dong a mix of everything will reflect in good result.
Social bookmarking helps to index your site quickly, directories will take time. And only 20-50% directories will be accepted, but in the case of bookmarking, it may take all the bookmarks.

 

Both are giving you back links & traffic also.
But Social Bookmarking submission is fast technique for getting Backlinks & more traffic.
Directory Submission will take more time for give backlinks. And after giving backlinks it'll give you little bit traffic.

Both directory submission and directory submission will help you. Mostly if you want to more visitor then social bookmarking will help you better than directory submission

 

I think except for a few directories....its pointless to do dirctory submissions ...as most of them are already spammed the hell off..
I got my website listed in yahoo directory by paying $299, now after 3 years i get about 10-20 unique visitors a day and got just one backlink ,
i think there are better and simpler and more effective ways of building link...
Social bookmarking is also kindaa same , it is much better...if your website gets to first page of digg...only them you get millions of visitors to your website otherwise...just one backlink...
bookmarking is something i am okay with , but a big NO to directory submission...wastage of time and money..

 

For me social bookmarking is still more better than directories that needs 1 to 3 months before approval.

@Seo110 search the forum there are many members here that shares a good list of social bookmarking sites.

 

Quality directories are still valid. I have still seen good success from getting listed in the top human-edited directories, especially local and regional ones. Avoid the free-for-all sites and focus on the ones that add value to users.

Both are beneficial. But, Social book marking has little edge over Directory submission.

 

Both the 2 submission services are useful. Of course, in my eyes, it may be easier to get backlinks through article submission service.

 

Directories are better for SERPS e.g a single DMOZ link and no other google backlinks can quite easily make your site a PR2 or 3. BUt social bookmarknig give much more traffic, and t's very targeted too.

Social bookmarks are much better than directories. Just try to google for "a list of social bookmarks" and you'll find lots of such sites. Or you can hire a person who provide bookmarking submission services. It's up to you how to get backlinks from bookmarking sites.
