Well placed in the most correct category your page portrays. Now, for example, if you go to Digg.com and open a category, you will see many pages there that are not being Digged because they are placed in a category where the page only has 10% relevance, whereas in another available category, the page would generate more Diggs as it would have more relevance there, but most of the people don't think this way, they see a category and think "Yeah... this is kinda about this" and submit it there. Now people who visit that category won't visit that site because they know that its not relevant.
