Hi guys! I'm new at SEO and someone recommended me that I should start with social bookmarking, but is it really effective? How long until I can see its effect on my web page and what social bookmarking sites do you recommend? I don't know if this is the right section but I'm just aiming to rank it in Google.
Social bookmarking is a great piece of an overall SEO strategy. Some of the benefits of Social Bookmarking are: 1. Gets the attention of the search engines from high PR sites (i.e. digg, reddit, mister wong, etc.). 2. Creates inbound links from those sites 3. Social bookmarking sites aggregate news and current events where thousands of people visit 4. If people like your post/mark they can "favorite" it and it can go viral from there Again though, this is only part of an overall strategy, but isn't the worst place to start.
