You mentioned some benefits but didn't explain the methods in case your readers are not Web 2.0 savvy. Webmasters who already know how to add the social bookmark links would also already be aware of their benefits.

 

I have submitted my site in some social bookmarking sites. But after cache that my site was down and by my site title that site was on up. What was that? Can you provide me some good social bookmarking sites?

 

Just use the sites like you might use them if you didn't have a website, and then throw in some links to your own stuff every couple of days or so. Don't register with multiple accounts and just submit the same links to each one, most of them will catch that and ban those accounts.

Oh, I didn't think of that. Yes, that would most definitely be spam.

 

yes, its a great tool. if mastered well, it can drive a lot of traffic to the site. and some used it successfully for link building purposes as well. however, major SB sites are now using "nofollow" and others might follow soon. so its not gonna be as much fun as it used to be.

SB, really gets you good amount of traffic. And especially if your site is some what related to categories like entertainment, social networking, video sharing, or something on these lines SB is really gonna get you what you need... However, I am afraid that the links from SB are no follow in most cases... Any opinions on that??????

I think the jury is still out on this one. I mean, in all reality SPAM is an acronym that ONLY applies to email but many in the online community have adapted it and applied it to social bookmarking, article marketing, SEO, etc.

IMHO, I don't consider a three or four bookmarks a week to be SPAM, the problem we have is that the REAL spammers are using the automation tools and hitting the social bookmarking sites hundreds of times a day with multiple accounts hidden by proxy servers and IPs.

social bookmarking site bring my site within a week in google indexation system. i left couple of questions in yahoo answer with my url and straightway my site got indexed in google within week.

I am watching a lot Discussion on NOFOLLOW in social bookmarkin websites. So I thought lets puts some point in place.

Few days ago I was readin www.searchengineland.com (my regular place for SEO) It was mentioned there that

1. MSN do not follow NOFOLLOW tag and SB work in Live.com. It is tested in my websites and reward are great.
2. Yahoo also Do not follow it.
3. Ask.com also do not follow it.
4. King Google follow it and it does not matter to Google if you submit your sites in SB. But here is catch. I have seen that when we submit our new pages to digg, netscape(propeller), and stumbleupon our pages get index very fast. And it brings traffic. It may not be good for SEO but it helps in Indexing and attrating taffic.

So do the mathematic, how it can help you. It is helping us a lot. Since we have started doing it, traffic from live.com and yahoo is equalling from Google and other resources. AM I HAPPY.....!!!!!
