Social bookmarking improve SEO?

I sow that some bookmarking tool say that, social bookmarking improve web sites and blogs SEO. Is it true?
According to my knowledge if i post links (articles) on Facebook and Twitter they are not improve my blog SEO. So which one is correct?

 

No, facebook and twitter bookmarking wont help to increase your SEO rank. It will just increase your site exposure to users and you will get more users to your site. (In some cases, few other websites uses twitter to display latest tweets on topic and your site link may display in it but for very less time.)

Yes, there are many bookmarking websites which allows dofollow link and it can increase your rank but sometimes Google may consider those links as spam.

So, just share your site pages' in facebook or twitter for your followers, not for SEO.

 

Better way do one page . on that page in search engine term it is called as "hall way page" put all your links on that page and share this link.

both are different and have their own pros and cons.
