Social Bookmarking Effective or not in seo process ?

I am new in the field of Search engine optimization.


I have a question for you ,


Is social bookmarking effective in seo ? I have seen mostly 80 % of bookmarking sites provide no follow back links.


And if we talk in term of traffic , only 10-15 websites i know from where you can get traffic.

Then what is the benefit of submission in 500-600 bookmarking site. ?


Please provide me a list of Do follow quality bookmarking site.


And also give you valuable suggestion.

definitely it is very effective after penguin update. It is also used in making link pyramids. Submit your link to pr2+ bookmarking sites and you will get better results because of that.

 

It is very useful for creating back links.

 

Well, this is a nice question and good to know about you. Matter of fact is social bookmarking is important though not all sites give you a do follow link. No follow link means you are not going to get the source's PR drained in to your website, but Google will still gives you a weight for the back link because it considers that your website is being referred by others sources that has their unique significance on the web. No-follow attribute simply prevents te PR juice from getting drained out.
