* Can social bookmarking demon get me into trouble with google in any kind of way and if so is there a way to not get into trouble by not abusing the tool * Is this a valuable tool for speeding up the process or should it still be handled it manually * What is your experience with it should we use or not use and why ?
Social bookmarking can get you into trouble if you post links on a site that routes back to your site. If somehow for any reason that site gets penalized or punished then that punishment could in turn effect your site via that link it has on your site.
Recently I saw that there are 2 guys who is selling it. So must be some reason. Why don't you try to use manual social bookmarking service, instead of automate. Here are the 2's thread who is selling it - http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2302167 http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2301911
Social Bookmarking won't get you in trouble. Worst case it just won't do anything. Google is most likely looking at more social networking sharing VIA twitter/Facebook than social bookmarking at this point. And.... They probably already know the right ratios of how this all looks (tweets vs. likes vs. social bookmarks). So you're not going to fool them. Personally I've never seen social bookmarking pump a site in the SERPS on it's own. Just my experience.
well, you can't fool google for long, if you spend on social bookmarking, spend equally well on content and SEO. Always spend for the complete link package/practices, overdose of one can always lead you in trouble.
