If you social bookmark (digg, delicious, reddit) a link to some articles which provide good content, that is fine. But if you social bookmark or a link to crap content, a squeeze page, or to a utube video which provides no content, just a basic video pointing to a link (with 0 content), can these social bookmark sites detect these, and delete our book marks, as they aren’t pointing to anything useful? like are there admin staff on them sites, which delete useless bookmarks that provide no useful content?
given the user base of these sites, how many 'admin' staff do you think they would have to employ in order to do that effectively?
I don't know if they can personally detect it through an algorithm, but I think you just get flagged by members. I had this software once that gave you "credit" after you bookmarked a site. People were getting banned left and right on that deal. I never really "got" it. Seemed like a waste of time to me.
I don't know if they could tell... I guess they would not even want to. But then... why do you ask? it seems rather pointless. Digging a page that sucks isn't going to bring in any traffic. Yeah, it may get indexed by SE bots, but then so what? I just don't get it.
I do not think any social bookmarking site really cares what type of content your are bookmarking. some only tracks if you are not spamming them by submitting the same type of content again and again. On top of that, bookmarking a crappy content will not help in any way...
