Hi there all, Let me know what you think of my new site i put up http://www.footballissue.com i have used a previous template and just made a few changes to make it suitable for a soccer site. Cheers
Hey Peon, It's a real cool site. I've never seen b4 such a site where somebody can find everything about soccer, all leagues and all competitions. Congratulation for this site. Viva Real Madrid Cheers Joan
how do you say it when things goes great! GooooAAaaalllLLLL! GooooAAaaalllLLLL! GooooAAaaalllLLLL! and etc. I think you header in the forums need fixing a bit, the ads changed the position of the background I think. You might want to take a look at that. Everything else is great. I like the frontpage, the black work wonders.
First off I would like to say nice design and it has alot of potential here are a few things I would change. 1)<STYLE type=text/css> make it link to an external style sheet 2)your </style> comes after your <body tag and then you start a new body tag ? 3) Try to scrap the tables all together, from reading search engines read in a linear format putting your content on the left and links on the right seems to do better 4) You have h2 style tags but where are the actual h1,h2,h3 tags for the main site. 5) use <strong> important keyword</strong> on your important words you are focussing on your style sheet will take care of formatting for you. 6)Mod rewrite your url's some search engines have trouble accessing dynamic url's ex: index.php?action=results index.php/poll-results/ 7) <p style="margin: 5" align="justify"> </p> <p style="margin: 5" align="justify"> </p> <p style="margin: 5" align="justify"> </p> <p style="margin: 5" align="justify"> </p> get rid of all that you dont need it and keep all your style stuff together ie make a <div id="stuff"> then in your style #div p { style info here } 8) just some minor fixes but you will find you will drastically increase your SE rankings by fixing these things I have suggested. Good luck
I agree that your site look good. there are so changes I would make as well.. look into your padding of your content. use "padding-left".. as far as the header pic, i like it. however, it seems kinda heavy. Try using a png and see if that reduces the file size.
Thanks for the comments, out of interest how much do you think a site like that is worth here is the link. This is another website i run so i was just wondering. http://www.talksoccer.net Gets 140,000k unique visitors a month on the whole site Has a 350k posts in the forums With 3000 members(we deleted 3000 as they didnt post) We are pr5 We also are about 85,000 on alexa but should be higher as its not updated. The revenue we just started so not totally sure. Just a question as i had to ask as i recently recieved a good offer for the website.
Any thoughts regarding this, i have got a good offer in $ but as i live in the UK the price is not as good
Somehow I found the loading of the header image a little slow. Images with 113kb in size seems too big for me.
