    Hello there,

I have a football site which posts 20 stories a day. It brings all the latest football news from around the world and we have 4 different people who post these stories.

I was wondering what sites can i use to help me get more traffic to appear on the site.

I have tried to apply for google news but they havent accepted me. So i am looking for other options, can anyone help me out?

    Thank you

Get strong backlinks which will get your site indexed...

Sites like prweb are good for submitting press releases but if you are looking to submit regular news items maybe this won't work as well.

As seiya said getting good rankings will increase traffic. Try creating a page highly optimised for each club (club name in title, meta description and h1 tags) and try to rank for the term "club name news" for each club and then you can pick up small amounts of traffic but multiplied over hundreds of clubs.

With some link building you can increase the rank of your site and get more and more traffic.

I assume you have RSS news feeds for different clubs etc? If not then this helps loads.

At least write articles in your own words, otherwise u will have to compete with sites displaying same news release.

It is a bit difficult for example to compete with http://www.goal.com
